Sunday and Monday.
Sunday and Monday, the Sun-Times ran a series of stories detailing to what degree the nation's youngest veterans are having a hard time finding piece of works and how many reservists are being laid opposite to or fired after they are displayed
I meditation your veterans series was fantastic and it was great to descry the reaction from "pols" today.

I know I'm missing something, nevertheless what would keep a veteran from being given a piece of work for which they are qualified and at least a satisfactory candidate? I can't conceive of a veteran not at least being considered (qualifications a given) for an opening. Of course employer who discriminate should face penalties. Haven't they been? If there is no opening, there is no opening. That's not discrimination.

While I have none served in the military, I think it is disgusting that companies treat employee that way. These companies have a responsibility to their communities, and I confidence they lose business as a follow of their actions. At the remarkably least they should be barred from having any governmental contracts.

I almost got fired for demanding my rights as a returning reservist. They gave it to me and I was vilified for it, too.

I sent a formal complaint to the Department of Labor and the woman assigned the case didn't do a thing. In fact she told me that I would have to do the investigation myself and provide the information to her.
I have since retired from the keeps There is no protection for those in uniform.

I penetrateed the Navy a month after graduating high instruct Fortunately, I was able to finish a two-year class from Robert Morris College while in succession shore duty at Great Lakes. That standing combined with my self-taught computer skills, is what got me the piece of work I now have. I was unemploy for and nothing else 48 hours. Had I penuryed to depend on my Navy training, there is no telling what I would be doing now. Probably asking "would you like fries with that?"

I went from one side the same thing when I came back from Vietnam. After my inferior tour, I was put without of the Marine Corps because of my disabilities, and my do job-work in Vietnam was a disdain sniper. The only job I qualified for would have been with the Mafia!

I think that you have been bamboozled on their whining. There are abundant of jobs out there. You have to apply the mind hard and get an education. What were these commonalty doing while on active duty? Were they going to community part time when they could? I bet not! I retired in August 2004 after 23 years in the Navy. I stayed abroad of the enlisted club, studied and received an associate's and a B order while on active duty while making eight overseas deployment including four Persian chasm tours. I have my Navy pension and a do job-work as an engineer making $1745 an hour with filled benefits. The people cited in the articles should have planned ahead for their that will be and I know for a fact their supervisors forward active duty made it clear to them the avenues of education available to them while serving. They ne to procure off their asses and finish some further education or training if they want the "good" do job-works
