The same idea of the Children's Museum being stuck in individual of the few remaining park areas forward the Loop's lakefront is appalling ["Group asserts children's museum in Grant Park," of recent origins story, March 16]. Not single has the city and its museums, theaters, festivals, etc stopped being delivered to all citizens -- as kids, we could proceed into any of our museums emancipated -- but the Friends of Downtown are absolutely correct in bringing up the fact that our lakefront "free unclose and clear" was a gift of Montgomery Ward, moreover it has been largely taken above for the benefit of the city administration and its avaricious friends.
No awed curiosity ordinary citizens of all kinds and colors don't pass often to any of these institutions.
